SEERD Leadership Meeting

On June 30, 2023, the SEERD Leadership, along with the newly assembled volunteer Advisory Board, met with land use expert Attorney Richard Grosso. The findings of this two-hour meeting are as follows.

We identified the most important issues that we plan to address with the County Board of Commissioners as the following:

• Process flaws

• Factual disputes from differences in methodology

• Inconsistencies with local ordinances

Furthermore, we have identified the processes for appeal, which are, but not limited to:

• An Administrative Appeal before the County Zoning Commission

We have identified and are now in contact with three lawyers, experts in this field, who have experience before the instances in which we would file procedures, and may represent us.

The anticipated cost for the legal representation for this next phase, per Attorney Richard Grosso, is estimated to range between $20,000 - $ 30,000.00.
