The attached picture was taken on Thursday morning (8/24), and it shows a number of mobile trailers now parked on the Bee Ridge property where the school is being relocated. While it is difficult to tell, there appears to be somewhere between 10-20 of them, all having been delivered in the past 3 days. Since neither the Special Exception petition nor the Binding Development Concept Plan approved by the County contain any mention of situating and/or using such mobile buildings for classrooms or any other reasons, it is unclear as to their intended purpose.
We have notified the County Code Enforcement of their presence because we are concerned that it’s contrary to the terms of their approval. As we get more information, we will be providing it to our membership to answer any questions you may have as the relocation continues. Also, please note that SEERD and others have filed a petition to appeal the County approval of the relocation, and we will continue to provide updates on that process as well.
