We're Not There Yet

Dear Supporter, Our most recent victory was the issuance of a County code enforcement violation notice with respect to the unlawful parking of portable trailers at the 8000 Bee Ridge Rd property. This violation was discovered by our members and reported to the County Enforcement Office by our attorney. Before that, we filed suit in Sarasota County Circuit Court appealing the Sarasota County Commissioners' decision to approve a Special Exception for relocating The Classical Academy of Sarasota to that location, citing their failure to follow local/state ordinances and/or perform the proper due diligence necessary to ensure the protection of our way of life. These successful efforts were made possible by the financial generosity of you, our supporters, and the active involvement of our neighbors. Unfortunately, the fight to protect our quality of life has just begun. To date, we have spent approximately $20,000 on legal fees alone and can only move forward if we have the ability to pay professional fees to continue the appeal process. Our opponents count on us not being able to do so, so our question to you is: Can we count on a financial gift from you to continue the effort to protect our community?
